Check the local network before pairing
The universal iPhone and iPad app (iOS 16+) includes Network Check & Device Discovery without pairing or a desktop licence. See the phone's network path and local addresses, discover nearby devices advertising standard Bonjour services, and test a fixed list of common ports on an address you enter. Results stay local and are not saved.
Your licensed FrontierStack desktop; in your pocket
Every monitoring and administration feature requires a currently licensed FrontierStack desktop app. Pair it to pick any server, triage incidents, control services, inspect smart plugs and UPS devices, monitor remote helpers, run Shell and work with the AI Administrator.
Pair in seconds
Activate the desktop licence, then open Paired Devices → Pair a device. Scan the QR code to enrol a per-device key; no control password is typed or shared. An unlicensed desktop cannot enrol the companion.
Your whole fleet
The Fleet tab lists every server with a status dot. Open one for direct phone reachability, SSH, web and database status, temperature, power, services, reboot and recovery. Power & Recovery includes smart plugs, managed outlets, UPS devices and smart reboots, including known power devices not pinned on the desktop.
Performance and temperature history
Open a server's Performance & history view to compare CPU, memory and disk percentages with a separate degree-marked temperature chart over 6 hours, 24 hours, 3 days or 7 days. Reboot markers remain aligned with the readings. For enrolled servers, the remote helper can keep collecting this history while the Mac app is closed or the Mac is unavailable.
Incidents and desktop monitor status
Incidents is a triage inbox with acknowledge, snooze, resolve, reopen, owner, notes and duplicate coalescing. Operations includes status-dot equivalents for important desktop monitors, even when mobile has no detailed control for one.
A real shell & the AI Administrator
More → Shell opens a command-line on the Mac or any server using credentials that remain on the Mac. Explicitly enrolled Direct SSH uses the phone's own key and can work while the Mac is offline. The AI tab remains Mac-backed and read-only until you switch on Allow changes.
Direct remote helpers over Tailscale
After one licensed desktop sync, Remote Helpers can read enrolled helper health directly over LAN, Tailscale IP or .ts.net MagicDNS while the desktop app is offline. The phone pins the helper certificate and receives observer-only access to CPU, memory, temperature, power, disks, services, security status and recent events.
Monitor & push alerts
Choose notification categories for servers, services, databases, web, network, security, power, backup, agents, recovery and other monitors. The app provides a local-device test plus a signed end-to-end test through the Mac, relay and APNs.
Home Screen & Lock Screen widgets
Add an Overview, multi-server, multi-service or Service Focus widget. Service Focus promotes a stopped service so the item needing attention stays visible. The overview also supports circular, rectangular and inline Lock Screen positions. Widgets update after the app refreshes and receive only display names, health states and the update time. Pairing and SSH keys, addresses, credentials, logs, shell access and control authority never enter the shared widget container.
Secure by design
Each phone gets its own signed-request identity (Ed25519), and you decide what it may do: grant a scope from read-only up to full control; with an extra, explicit "Allow remote shell" grant for the terminal; see each device's last-seen time, and revoke any device from the Mac at any time (Paired Devices). The app itself locks with a passcode or Face/Touch ID, and mirrors the Mac's own App Lock.
